Genoa find themselves in 19th place on 25 points, three points adrift of safety with three matches remaining. Genoa lost their last Serie A match 1-0 at Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris against Sampdoria. Mattia Destro is their leading marksman with nine goals. On home soil this season Genoa have picked up 14 points (two wins, eight draws and seven losses) from a possible 51 on offer across 17 contests. In their last six league matches, Genoa have won two and lost four.

Juventus beat Venezia 2-1 at home in their last league match to extend their unbeaten streak to four (three wins and one draw), leaving them in fourth place on 69 points with three matches to play. The Bianconeri trail first-placed Milan by eight points and lead fifth-placed Lazio by 10 for a spot in the Champions League. Dybala and Álvaro Morata have been the club’s most prolific players, netting nine and eight times, respectively. Away from home this season, Juventus have 10 wins, five draws, and two losses. The Bianconeri are looking to add to an 11-match away unbeaten streak (eight wins and three draws). They haven’t been beaten away since October 2021 against Hellas Verona. Juventus, meanwhile, have won four, drawn one and lost one in their last six matches.

Genoa vs Juventus match stats

Genoa have scored the fewest goals in Serie A this season: 25, 0.7 per game on average – only in two of their previous Serie A campaigns have they had a lower such ratio (0.5 in 1973/74 and 0.6 in 1959/60 – relegated in both campaigns). They’ve also scored 68% of their Serie A goals this season in the last 30 minutes of play (17/25), the highest percentage so far – however, Juventus have conceded the fewest goals during this time period (10). Juventus are the side against which Mattia Destro has played the most Serie A games without scoring a single goal (14 meetings) – he is the only Genoa player to have scored more than once in 2022 (two goals, his last one coming in February against Salernitana).

Following their 2-0 victory in the reverse fixture, Juventus could keep a clean sheet in successive Serie A meetings against Genoa for the first time since the 2015/16 campaign (2-0 and 1-0). Juve are one of just three sides to have lost only one match in the big-five European leagues since December (alongside Man City and Liverpool): a 0-1 defeat against Inter in April. Paulo Dybala has scored eight Serie A goals against Genoa, only against Udinese (10) has he scored more in the competition – the Argentinian (114) is only one goal away from equalling Roberto Baggio (115) as the player with the ninth-most goals scored for Juventus in all competitions.
