Why Arsenal Twitter is investigating Alexander Isak licence plates ahead of transfer deadline day
Real Sociedad striker and reported Arsenal target Alexander Isak has been spotted in London as transfer deadline day fast approaches.
Mikel Arteta is thought to want to bring in a forward this month after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was frozen out and stripped of his captaincy following his latest disciplinary breach.
With concerns over Alexandre Lacazette’s future — the Frenchman’s contract expires this summer — and Arteta seemingly unconvinced by Hale End product Eddie Nketiah, the Spaniard will likely be eyeing up frontline reinforcements.

Dusan Vlahovic has been a name bandied about for much of this winter window, but the prolific Serb recently completed a £62.5m move from Fiorentina to Juventus, firmly pouring cold water on links to north London.
There have been other forwards associated with a potential transfer to Arsenal, not least Real Sociedad’s Isak, who has now heightened speculation after he was captured alongside former Man Utd midfielder and current club teammate Adnan Januzaj in London.
A video emerged on social media over the weekend, appearing to be in Soho, of Isak with Januzaj. The latter also posted a picture on his Instagram account alongside the Sweden international with the caption: “My brotherrrrrrr @alex_isak.”

Photos also emerged of a Rolls Royce with the number plate ‘I5 AAK’ to add fuel to speculation. It is even claimed the Rolls Royce was registered in the UK earlier this month, the suggestion being that Isak is preparing to live in the UK.
Eagle-eyed Arsenal fans soon turned detective on social media, coming up with a few transfer theories as to why Isak allegedly registered his car in the UK…
The car Alexander Isak is driving around London today was bought, registered and taxed in January 2022. You don’t just buy a Rolls Royce in a random country if you’re on holiday for a few days…

Top-flight football is currently on hold as World Cup Qualifiers take place for CONMEBOL, CONCACAF and the AFC, giving players the chance to link up with their nations or, for those not participating, an opportunity to recharge ahead of the second half of the campaign.
For Isak and Januzaj, Real Sociedad resume their season when they take on Real Betis in the Copa del Rey quarter-final on Thursday, before La Liga resumes at the weekend, as Imanol Alguacil’s men travel to Valencia on Sunday afternoon.
