Welcome to Squawka’s new weekly crossword. Every Friday at 1pm (UK time), we’ll bring you a new crossword based on the Premier League from its inception in 1992. How quickly can you solve it?
How to play the Squawka Crossword
- Tap a square to start, and tap it again to switch between across and down.
- On a computer, just type. The arrow keys move around the grid and Tab jumps to the next clue. On a phone, use the keyboard under the grid.
- Squares you've already filled are skipped as you type, so you only need to enter the missing letters.
- Answers are surnames, clubs, nicknames, grounds and managers, with no spaces or accents.
- Stuck? Check a word or the whole grid to see any wrong letters, or reveal a single letter or a whole word. Reveals are noted on your result.
- The clock starts with your first letter. Finish the grid to set a time, then share it with your mates.
A new crossword goes live every Friday (1pm UK time), and every previous week stays playable in the archive below the grid. Your progress, times and weekly streak are saved on your device. Most clues are built on Premier League stats since 2016/17, using Opta data via OneTwenty, so they match the official Premier League stats. Clues that mention a player's current club are correct when each crossword goes live.
