The 2025-26 Premier League season is over, with Sunday’s final day dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s.
Arsenal were crowned champions for the 14th time and the first time since 2003-04, while West Ham United joined Burnley and Wolves in relegation despite beating Leeds United 3-0 — Tottenham Hotspur’s 1-0 win against Everton rendering that result useless.

GK: Caoimhin Kelleher (Brentford)

There were only four clean sheets on the final day of the Premier League season, and while Caoimhin Kelleher didn’t keep one of them, he certainly came close against his former club. The Ireland international made no fewer than seven saves at Anfield to the tune of 1.68 goals prevented — a gameweek-high — with only Curtis Jones managing to beat him. Six of those saves were inside the box, while Kelleher also made a matchweek-high three punches.
Honourable mention: Jose Sa (74%)
Both goalkeepers played well in the dead-rubber at the bottom, but Jose Sa edged it with seven saves and 0.58 goals prevented.
RB: Pedro Porro (Tottenham)

Tottenham never really looked in danger against Everton, who looked utterly on the beach on Sunday. That allowed Pedro Porro plenty of freedom on the right flank, and the Spaniard used it to create one big chance, find success with 40% of his 12 crosses and complete five final-third passes. On the other side of the ball, Porro won four tackles and made two interceptions retaining possession, shutting down Everton’s biggest threat, Iliman Ndiaye.
Honourable mention: Curtis Jones (69%)
Curtis Jones slotted into the right-back slot on Sunday and scored Liverpool’s close-range equaliser against Brentford. Additionally, the Englishman made four clearances and completed nine passes into the final third — second only to Kyle Walker (15) among right-backs.
CB: Nikola Milenkovic (Nottingham Forest)

Despite taking the lead, Nottingham Forest came under plenty of pressure against Bournemouth on Sunday. A 1-1 draw could have been a much worse result without the efforts of Nikola Milenkovic, who made a last-man tackle and seven clearances, while retaining a 100% aerial duel record. On the other side of the ball, Milenkovic enjoyed a respectable 83.05% retention rate and completed 35 passes.
Honourable mention: Ladislav Krejci (66%)
It was Ladislav Krejci’s header that was blocked by Florentino Luis’ arm against Burnley on Sunday, earning Wolves an early penalty. The Czech centre-back was busy in his own box, too, making five clearances, a successful tackle and an interception retaining possession.
CB: Ibrahima Konate (Liverpool)
- Squawka Score: 66%
Ibrahima Konate has come in for a lot of stick this season, but he got the job done on Sunday. The Frenchman was impressive on the ball, maintaining a 91.43% retention rate and completing seven final-third passes, while defensively, he made three clearances and won five aerial duels.
Honourable mention: Virgil van Dijk (65%)
There have been no such worries about Virgil van Dijk, who continues to put out fires across the Liverpool backline. The Dutchman was just behind his partner at the weekend, making two tackles, two interceptions retaining possession, and 11 successful final-third passes — the latter second only to Marcos Senesi among centre-backs on Sunday.
LB: Adrien Truffert (Bournemouth)
- Squawka Score: 76%
Bournemouth sealed a club-record sixth-place finish and European debut with a 1-1 daw at Forest on the final day. The Cherries fell behind in the first half, but pulled themselves level shortly after the break through Marcus Tavernier, whose strike was assisted by Adrien Truffert. That was just one of three chances the French left-back created on the day, while he completed a match-high two dribbles and had six touches in the opposition box.
Honourable mention: Antonee Robinson (68%)
Antonee Robinson is often lauded for his chance creation, but it was his defensive work that stood out on Sunday. The United States international won three tackles, won two aerial duels and made two clearances to help Fulham win 2-0 at home to Newcastle.

CM: Mateus Fernandes (West Ham)

Mateus Fernandes is one of a very small number of West Ham players who can hold their heads high after this season. Sunday was a demonstration of that, with the Portuguese midfielder creating two chances and providing one assist, while completing six final-third passes, winning five tackles and seven duels.
Honourable mention: James Garner (74%)
While Everton were poor in North London, James Garner was not. The 25-year-old completed a match-high 51 passes and created a joint-match-high four chances, while winning two tackles and nine duels. You have to wonder if Thomas Tuchel has made a mistake leaving him out of his World Cup squad.
CM: Joao Palhinha (Tottenham)
- Squawka Score: 74%
Joao Palhinha was an unexpected source of goals this season, scoring five times from his defensive midfield role. One of those strikes proved to be decisive in the battle to stay up, netting the winner against Everton. Palhinha was typically active defensively, too, winning three tackles and making two interceptions retaining possession.
Honourable mention: Mateus Mane (72%)
It’s been a horrible season for Wolves, but Mateus Mane will come out of it in-demand. The teenage midfielder was at it again on Sunday, creating a whopping six chances against Burnley, while making 14 penalty area entries — a matchweek-high in his position.
RW: Noni Madueke (Arsenal)

Fresh from being named in the England World Cup squad, Noni Madueke helped Arsenal round off their title win in style. The winger netted the Gunners’ second goal in their 2-1 win at Crystal Palace. That was one of four shots he took on the day, while he created three chances and had 13 touches in the opposition box — all match-highs.
Honourable mention: Mohamed Salah (76%)
It was an emotional day for Mohamed Salah, who played his last game for Liverpool in front of the Anfield crowd. Salah didn’t manage to score, but he did grab one last assist, while having 15 touches in the opposition box, attempting four shots and completing three dribbles — all match-highs.
No.10: Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United)

It was a historic day for Bruno Fernandes, who grabbed his 21st assist of the season at Brighton, setting a new Premier League record. That was just one of four chances the Portugal international created on the day, while he rounded off a livewire display with a goal of his own just after half-time.
Honourable mention: Yeremy Pino (76%)
Yeremy Pino came off the bench at half-time and applied serious pressure to the Arsenal backline, creating a joint-match-high three chances and grabbing the assist for Jean-Philippe Mateta’s late consolation, while completing one dribble and having six touches in the opposition box.
LW: Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal)

It was Gabriel Martinelli who helped get Arsenal going against the Eagles, slipping the ball behind the defence for fellow Brazilian Gabriel Jesus, who made no mistake in opening the scoring. Martinelli was a menace throughout, completing a match-high four dribbles and having seven touches in the opposition box.
Honourable mention: Patrick Dorgu (71%)
Patrick Dorgu was pushed into an out-and-out winger role to devastating effect on Sunday, grabbing a goal and an assist, while creating three chances and taking three shots to help Man Utd win 3-0 at Brighton.
ST: Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa)

It’s been a wonderful week for Ollie Watkins, who had already won the Europa League and made England’s World Cup squad heading into Sunday. The striker capped off a brilliant second half of the season with two goals as Aston Villa came from behind to beat Manchester City 2-1 in Pep Guardiola’s last game in charge. That’s 21 goals in all competitions this season and 16 in the Premier League for Watkins, which is impressive given he scored just one goal in his first 19 appearances.
Honourable mention: Callum Wilson (77%)
Callum Wilson is another who can take a bit of pride from West Ham’s awful campaign. The veteran striker came on at half-time and scored a stunning long-range goal to put the Hammers 3-0 up against Leeds. That takes him to seven goals in just 11 Premier League starts this season, and even at 34, you have to feel a Premier League side will see a lot of value in signing him this summer.
