The 2025-26 Bundesliga season drew to a close on Saturday. Bayern Munich were crowned champions last month. Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and VfB Stuttgart round off the top four.
At the other end of the table, Wolfsburg sent St. Pauli packing with a 3-1 victory on Saturday. The Wolves ended the campaign in the relegation playoff spot as Heidenheim joined St. Pauli in Germany’s second tier.
Here, we run through the relevant end-of-season awards following the culmination of the 2025-26 campaign.
Bundesliga awards:
Player of the Season
Harry Kane (Bayern Munich)
Harry Kane just edges Michael Olise for this one. The Frenchman was superb for Bayern Munich this season, scoring 15 and laying on an additional 19 assists. However, it’s top-scorer Kane who lands the Player of the Season gong.

Kane scored more goals (36) than any other player in the 2025-26 Bundesliga campaign. Only Deniz Undav (122) had more shots than the England captain (119). The Bayern hitman also laid on an additional five assists from 40 chances created, that ranking 27th.
It was another imperious domestic campaign for the 32-year-old as Bayern eased to the title. Worryingly for opponents, Kane only seems to be getting better with age.
Young Player of the Season
Luka Vuskovic (Hamburg)
Hamburg will be hoping they can keep Luka Vuskovic for at least another season. The Croat was vital as Hamburg staved off relegation. Since joining on loan from Tottenham, Vuskovic’s stock has continued to soar.
The 19-year-old finished the season third for clearances (251) and aerial wins (149) as Merlin Polzen’s side ended the campaign 12 points clear of the bottom three. And it wasn’t just down to Vuskovic’s defensive work that helped beat the drop.
Indeed, Vuskovic struck six league goals for Hamburg this season. Those six goals earned Hamburg an additional nine points. A worthy winner of the Young Player of the Season gong.

Manager of the Season
Ole Werner (RB Leipzig)
There was the obvious temptation to hand this to Vincent Kompany. The Belgian masterminded another nigh-on perfect domestic campaign. However, the title is the bare minimum for FC Hollywood.
Rather, Ole Werner wins this one. The 38-year-old took over at Red Bull Arena last summer and had to quickly contend with the exits of Benjamin Sesko, Xavi Simons and Lois Openda.
However, he had Diomande and Antonio Nusa tearing up the flanks, the pair finishing first and second for completed take ons. The wide pair were key as RB Leipzig finished third, a fine return all things considered.
Signing of the Season
Yan Diomande (RB Leipzig)
The expectation is that Yan Diomande will leave RB Leipzig this summer. The German side struck gold with the teenage winger. Diomande has established himself as one of the most in-demand widemen on the continent following his arrival from Leganes.
Diomande bagged 12 goals and laid on an additional eight assists for RB Leipzig this season. The latter came from 56 chances created, that enough to place among the top 10 players in the division.

In addition, the 19-year-old completed at least 50 more take ons (118) than any other player in Germany’s top tier. RB Leipzig will see a huge return on their investment when the time comes to sell.
Surprise Package
Vladimir Coufal (Hoffenheim)
West Ham fans were sad to see the back of Vladimir Coufal last summer. The Czech right-back departed east London for Hoffenheim having dropped behind Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the Hammers pecking order.
However, Coufal went on to become a key man for a Hoffenheim side that finished fifth this season. The experienced Czechia international was one of only seven outfield players to start every league game.
Eight assists ranked among the top 10 in Germany’s top tier. Few backed Coufal to perform as well as he did following his Bundesliga transfer. The 33-year-old, though, very much exceeded expectations.
