Erling Haaland is quickly on his way to becoming one of the all-time legends of the Premier League after blitzing 100 goals in just 111 games for Manchester City.
Quite simply, the Norwegian is one of the most lethal finishers in the business and he really does make it look easy out there on the pitch.
Before Haaland notched his century he already had 298 career goals and 19 from 15 games this season. The 25-year-old sets himself incredibly high standards after netting 52 in his first season before then hitting 38 in 2023-24 and 34 in 2024-25.
But this season he looks to be going from strength to strength and if he stays in the Premier League long-term it’s surely not going to be long until he breaks Alan Shearer’s all-time goalscoring record. After all, he’s already broken one of his long-held landmarks.
Here is a list of just some of the incredible records Haaland boasts.
Fastest to 100 Premier League goals
Before Haaland, Shearer was the quickest to grab his century, taking just 124 games to do so. His nearest challenger was Harry Kane, who took 141 to get to 100.
Haaland has made the achievement look like easy work, blowing both players out of the water by doing it in 111 games. That is a record that will surely take some beating.

Fastest to 50 Champions League goals
Haaland got to 40 Champions League strikes in just 35 appearances after scoring against RB Leipzig in the 2023-24 season. The following season he would reach his half century in just 49 appearances – which is another record.
By comparison, Lionel Messi took 66 games to score 50 goals in the Champions League, while Mbappe took 79.
Most goals in a single Premier League season
Another Shearer record that Haaland has made mincemeat of. The towering striker has a sensational first season at Man City in 2022-23, when he seemed to score every single week. It certainly felt that way, at least, and he ended the campaign with an incredible 36 strikes in the Premier League.
Shearer previously held the record for most goals in a single Premier League season with 34 in the 1993-94 season, held jointly with Andy Cole in 1994-95 (both for Blackburn Roverts) – but that was when the top flight was played across a 42-game season.
Most Premier League goals scored in August
He smashed in a stunning nine goals in just five games in the opening month of the season. That record should stick around for some time.
First to net Premier League hat-tricks in three consecutive home games
During that incredible first season at Man City, the ‘Striking Viking’ enjoyed trebles at home to Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest and Manchester United.
August was a ridiculous month for Haaland as he blitzed six goals combined against Palace and Forest after wins of 4-2 and 6-0 respectively.
Bizarrely, Man City wouldn’t have another home game at the Etihad until October as they welcomed bitter rivals Man Utd in the Manchester derby – with Haaland running them ragged with another hat-trick to inspire a 6-3 win.
Fastest to score three Premier League hat-tricks
This was light work for Haaland, needing just eight games in total to bag his treble of trebles. His nearest competitior? Michael Owen, who took 48 games to get to the same landmark. Incredible.
First to win two golden boots in two Premier League seasons
When Haaland first arrived in the Premier League, it didn’t look like anyone else was going to get a look in. His closest rival was Harry Kane, but after the England captain left for the Bundesliga in 2023, it left Haaland free reign to dominate the scoring charts.
His efforts of 36 (2022-23) and 27 (2023-24) were unmatched until Mohamed Salah produced his greatest ever season for Liverpool with 29 goals to finally see off his rival.
Most goals scored in all competitions by a Premier League player in a single season
Haaland’s 52 took him far beyond the highest total previously managed by Liverpool’s Salah and Man Utd legend Ruud van Nistelrooy, who both managed 43.
The total record for most goals in any season – excluding Premier League history – belongs to Dixie Dean on 63. Haaland still has time to break that one.
First player to score five goals in a single Champions League and FA Cup match
Haaland was in the mood as he bagged five goals in just 58 minutes during Man City’s 6-2 win over Luton Town in the 2023-24 FA Cup.
He has previously hit five in a 7-0 romp over Leipzig in March 2023 – becoming only the third player to do so in the Champions League after Lionel Messi and Luiz Adriano. But for these two honours combined, he stands alone.
First to score in five consecutive Champions League games for three different clubs
A sign of just how consistent Haaland has been across his career. He’s scored in five straight games in the Champions League for Salzburg – achieving that in 2019-20.
He then pulled off the same feat for Borussia Dortmund in 2020-21 before doing it again for Man City in 2025-26. That is no easy task.
