Gameweek 11 is shaping up to be a blockbuster weekend, with the Premier League fixture list serving up a couple of mouth-watering matchups.
The action gets underway on Saturday lunchtime when Tottenham Hotspur bid to shake-off their home rust against an improved Manchester United, while Manchester City lock horns with fellow title hopefuls Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
To get you ready for the action, we’ve dug into the numbers to uncover 10 standout stats you might see come to life this weekend.
Stats you might see
Five star Spurs
- Tottenham could become the first club to win five consecutive games against Manchester United across all competitions since Liverpool in 2002.
Manchester United were sick of the sight of Tottenham last season. The Red Devils lost all four league and cup clashes with Spurs, including the Europa League final.
In fact, Man Utd have failed to win any of their last seven games with Tottenham, losing five.
If Thomas Frank’s side now go on to secure five wins on the spin against Man Utd, they will become the first side to achieve this feat since Liverpool over 20 years ago.
Hopeful Hammers
- West Ham bid to win consecutive Premier League games for the first time since February.
There’s been little to smile about for poor West Ham United fans this season. Seven defeats in 10 games is not the start they wanted, while they’ve conceded 21 goals already.
However, they now have the smallest of springs in their step following last weekend’s impressive 3-1 win over Newcastle, which was only their second win of the campaign.
The Hammers will now hope this victory serves as a springboard as they bid to beat Burnley in London this weekend and claim back-to-back league wins for the first time in eight months.
A sprinkle of Moyes magic
- David Moyes can become only the third manager to have won 20+ games against a single opponent in the Premier League.
After a bright start, Everton have struggled of late, claiming one win in seven games. But they’ll fancy their chances of getting back on track against a Fulham side also struggling for consistency.
Manager David Moyes has fond memories against the Cottagers, who he has beaten 19 times in his managerial career in the Premier League.
A victory on Sunday would see Moyes join fellow Scot Sir Alex Ferguson (vs eight clubs) and Arsene Wenger (vs four clubs) as the only managers to reach 20+ wins against one team in the competition’s history.

Impenetrable Arsenal
- If Arsenal beat Sunderland to nil they will become the first top-flight side in English football history to win nine consecutive games across all competitions without conceding a single goal.
Arsenal have stretched their lead at the top of the Premier League table to six points and are now firm favourites for the title at odds of just 4/9.
The Gunners have been in unstoppable form since their 2-2 draw with Man City in mid-September, racking up 10 consecutive victories in all competitions. Even more impressively, they haven’t conceded a single goal in their last eight outings.
A win to nil against Sunderland this weekend would make history as Arsenal would become the first top-flight team in English football ever to record nine consecutive victories across all competitions without conceding.
Maresca seeks another W
- Enzo Maresca has won all 10 games against teams whose first letter begins with ‘W’ in English football.
A slightly more niche stat for you here involving Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, who loves facing sides beginning with the letter W.
Across his time in English football, the Italian manager has faced such sides on 10 occasions – and he’s won the lot.
His record includes double victories over both West Bromwich and Watford, along with three wins apiece against West Ham and Wolves. It’s a good omen for Saturday night when Chelsea host the managerless Midlands side at Stamford Bridge.

Gibbs-White at your assistance
- Morgan Gibbs-White needs one more assist to become Nottingham Forest’s leading assist maker in Premier League history.
It’s been a challenging start to the season for Nottingham Forest and their creative talisman Morgan Gibbs-White. The club are still searching for their first win since the opening weekend.
There were, however, signs of progress in last weekend’s 2-2 draw against Man Utd, where Gibbs-White netted his first Premier League goal of the campaign.
The midfielder has now been directly involved in 45 Premier League goals for Forest, scoring 18 and assisting 27. One more assist would see him surpass Ian Woan to become the club’s all-time leading assist maker in the Premier League era.
Minteh on the move
- If Yankuba Minteh scores or assists, he will be the only player aged 21 or under to be directly involved in 15 Premier League goals since the start of last season.
Brighton and Hove Albion’s in-form Yankuba Minteh has been involved in 14 Premier League goals in his last two seasons with seven goals and seven assists, the most of any player currently aged 21 or younger.
Minteh grabbed an assist last time out in the 3-0 win against Leeds United and will now be eyeing up his 15th goal involvement since the start of last season.
Bee-wary of the throw-in
- If Brentford score from a throw-in, they will become the first side to score six Premier League home goals from throw-ins in a calendar year since Stoke City in 2008.
Goals tend to be on the menu when Brentford and Newcastle United meet. This fixture boasts the highest goals-per-game average (4.1) of any Premier League game to be played at least eight times.
Brentford and their set-piece maestro coach Keith Andrews have a particularly unique weapon at their disposal. The Bees have turned throw-ins into a genuine attacking threat, scoring five times from these means in their last 11 matches at the Gtech Community Stadium.
If they find the net from a throw-in again this weekend, Brentford will become the first side since Stoke City in 2008 to score six Premier League home goals from throw-ins in a single calendar year.
Deja Vu for the Cherries?
- Bournemouth could lose consecutive Premier League games for the first time since May…against the same opponents.
Bournemouth have been one of the best sides to watch this season with their tally of 18 points from five games putting them above the likes of Tottenham, Chelsea, Man Utd, and Sunday’s opponents Aston Villa.
However, the Cherries did suffer a rare defeat last time out in a 3-1 loss away to Man City and they must now make the tricky trip to Villa Park, where the hosts have lost just one of their last 23 home league matches.
Such has been Bournemouth’s consistency that a defeat on Sunday would mark the first time they’ve lost consecutive Premier League games since May when, coincidentally, they lost to Man City and Aston Villa.
Salah can eclipse Rooney
- Mo Salah needs one more goal or assist to eclipse Wayne Rooney as the player with the most goal involvements for a single club in Premier League history.
Mo Salah is eyeing up a slice of Premier League history on Sunday when he goes in search of the goal or assist that will elevate him above Wayne Rooney as the player with the most goal involvements for a single club.
Salah’s goal against Aston Villa last weekend enhanced his tally to 277 goal involvements (188 goals, 88 assists), level with Rooney (183 goals, 93 assists).
Salah will be fueled by a return of nine goals and six assists against Man City in the Premier League, which includes a goal and an assist in both meetings last season.
