The Premier League made a welcome return over the weekend as Liverpool extended their winning start, goal-machine Erling Haaland put Man United to the sword, and Tottenham piled the pressure on West Ham manager Graham Potter.
Below, we’ve rounded up all of the key statistics, milestones and records from Premier League Gameweek Four.
The stats you might have missed
David Raya 13 clean sheets clear
- Since joining Arsenal, David Raya has kept 13 more clean sheets than any other Premier League goalkeeper across all competitions.
Arsenal ensured former Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou’s debut as Nottingham Forest manager ended in defeat, cruising to a 3-0 victory at the Emirates.
Mikel Arteta’s side, now sitting second in the table with nine points, have conceded just once this season, and Saturday’s clean sheet marked David Raya’s 42nd shutout in 100 appearances for the Gunners.
Since joining Arsenal, the Spaniard has kept 13 more clean sheets than any other Premier League goalkeeper across all competitions.

Semenyo first to five goal contributions
- Antoine Semenyo become the first player to tally five goal involvements this season.
Antoine Semenyo has burst out of the gates this season, with Saturday’s goal and an assist in the 2-1 home win over Brighton making him the first player to be directly involved in five Premier League goals this campaign.
The Ghanaian forward has also netted a brace at Anfield and registered an assist in the victory over Wolves.

Crystal Palace 10 games unbeaten
- Crystal Palace are unbeaten in 10 Premier League games for the first time in their history.
Crystal Palace were frustrated by Sunderland in a goalless draw at Selhurst Park and lacked a spark without the departed Eberechi Eze and injured Ismaila Sarr.
However, the Eagles will look to the positives as not only did they extend their unbeaten start to the season to four games, but they stretched their undefeated streak to 10 games – including the backend of last season – for the first time in the Premier League era.
Goalless Aston Villa set unwanted record
- Aston Villa have failed to score in their opening four league matches for the first time.
Aston Villa’s winless start to the season continued with a goalless draw at Everton, leaving Unai Emery’s stuttering side 19th in the table with just two points on the board.
It’s also the first time in the club’s history that goal-shy Villa have failed to score in each of their first four league games of a season.
Wolves make all-time worst start
- Wolves have lost their opening four league games for the first time in their history.
New Newcastle striker Nick Woltemade made a dream debut for the Toon as his first-half header was enough to topple Wolves 1-0 at St James’ Park.
For the visitors, it was a historic low as it marked the first time in Wolves’ 127-year league history that they’ve lost their opening four matches of a season.
Their search for a first point continues.
Bergvall rare feat with goal and assist
- Lucas Bergvall is the second youngest Tottenham player to both score and assist a goal in a Premier League game.
Tottenham thrashed West Ham 3-0 at the London Stadium to pile the pressure on beleaguered Hammers boss Graham Potter, while Thomas Frank’s side are now sitting pretty up in third.
The game saw Lucas Bergvall become the second youngest Tottenham player to both score and assist a goal in a Premier League game for Tottenham (19y 223d) after Nick Barmby against Nottingham Forest back in December 1992 (18y 321d).
Salah 100 goal involvements clear
- Mo Salah now has 100 more Premier League goal involvements than any other player since he joined Liverpool.
It took the conversion of a 95th-minute Mo Salah penalty for Liverpool to break Burnley hearts and extend their winning run to four wins from four matches.
Salah has now been directly involved in at least 100 more Premier League goals than any other player since he joined Liverpool, with his tally now standing tall at 273 goal involvements in 292 league games for the Reds.
Son Heung-min, Harry Kane and Kevin De Bruyne are the next best in this category over the selected time period, so Salah’s gap at the top is only set to grow.

Haaland chasing down Giggs‘ derby record
- Erling Haaland now has 11 goal involvements in Manchester derbies.
Erling Haaland bagged a brace as Man City comprehensively beat neighbours Man United 3-0 at the Etihad in Pep Guardiola’s 600th top-flight league game as a manager.
Halaand, who now has 11 goals in six games for club and country this season, became the first City player to reach double figures in goal involvements (11) in the Manchester derby – only Man United’s Ryan Giggs has accumulated a higher number (13).
