Fulham vs Leeds prediction, stats, tips & team news

Both Fulham and Leeds United will be looking to climb the table when they meet at Craven Cottage on Saturday 13th September at 3pm.

Fulham are still searching for their first league win of the season following a tricky start to the season, while Leeds have taken four points from their three matches, impressing in their return to the Premier League.

Most corners: Fulham (4/7 with Betway)

Fulham have had 16 corners in the Premier League this season, slightly more than Leeds’ 14. That’s an average of 5.33 corners per game, compared to Leeds’ 4.66. This should be a fairly open game with both sides looking evenly matched across the board. Fulham should hold the impetus with this being a home game though, and that could lead to them having more of an influence on proceedings when it comes to attacking the game, potentially giving them more chances of winning set pieces in the final third.

Under 2.5 goals (4/5 with Betway)

Leeds have scored just one goal in their three league games this season. All three of Fulham’s games have also seen fewer than three goals scored. Neither side has looked too impressive in front of goal so far, with just three goals between them and we’re anticipating their striking struggles continuing in this game. It’s a similar story when it comes to xG too, with Leeds accumulating just 2.89 in xG so far this season and Fulham amassing 3.54 in expected goals.

How both teams go into Fulham vs Leeds

The start of the new season hasn’t gone well for Fulham. The Cottagers are one of four teams still chasing their first league win, and they currently sit in the relegation zone. They opened the campaign with two draws, taking points from games against Manchester United and Brighton and Hove Albion. Fulham then lost for the first time in controversial circumstances against Chelsea, going into the international break on a sour note.

Leeds have had a mixed start to the game. They won their opening game, a narrow 1-0 win over Everton thanks to a late penalty. But they have failed to score in each of their past two games, conceding five in a defeat to Arsenal. Leeds went into the international break off the back of a goalless draw against Newcastle, currently sitting 12th.

Fulham team news

Fulham will hope to have Issa Diop back after the international break. Marco Silva believes the defender should be available for this contest but there are still some lingering doubts over his fitness. Diop remains the only injury worry for the Cottagers heading into this contest.

Leeds team news

Ethan Ampadu will need assessing to see if he can return after the international break, with Daniel Farke hoping his captain will be available for selection again. Gabriel Gudmundsson could also be in contention to return following a muscular problem, but Ao Tanaka is slightly further away with a return looking more likely at the end of September.

Fulham vs Leeds head-to-head

Fulham have won their past three games against Leeds across all competitions, ending a run of four straight wins for the Yorkshire club. These games have come across competitions, with only three of the last five taking place in the Premier League. Fulham have scored eight in the last five encounters, with Leeds finding the net five times.
