Aston Villa have not started the season well. They opened the campaign with a goalless draw against Newcastle United, a game in which both sides struggled to forge clear cut chances. And that’s a problem that has followed Villa. The Villans have lost their past two league matches, beaten by Brentford and Crystal Palace. Both matches saw Aston Villa fail to score.

There are some doubts over Matty Cash, who picked up an injury on international duty for Poland. Andres Garcia may need to wait a little longer before he returns.
