How both teams go into Crystal Palace vs Sunderland
Crystal Palace haven’t had an ideal summer, with a lack of movement in the transfer window. But things aren’t going too badly on the pitch. The Eagles are unbeaten in their opening three league games, one of just three teams yet to taste defeat. Crystal Palace’s off-field woes stretch to their injury table. The Eagles are without a host of players including Adam Wharton, who has suffered a muscle injury and isn’t expected back until next week at the earliest. Ismaila Sarr and Eddie Nketiah aren’t expected to return until October, while Cheick Doucoure and Chadi Riad are slightly further away.

Sunderland will hope to have a host of players back after the international break, but there are still a lot of doubts. Dan Ballard will be in a race to be fit, while Luke O’Nien, Dennis Cirkin, Aji Alese and Leo Fuhr Hjelde are all doubts. Romaine Mundle and Niall Huggins also remain serious doubts for the Black Cats this weekend.
