This match should follow a similar pattern with Arsenal looking to finally get their hands on the Premier League trophy. Leeds, whilst winning their first game back in the Premier League 1-0 against Everton, looked far for convincing at times with a late penalty goal gifting them all three points. A tough test with a trip to North London might prove to be a step too far for Farke’s side this time out.

This will be Gyokeres’ first competitive game at the Emirates against a Leeds side who are settling back into life in the Premier League. The Swedish striker had a quiet start to life at Arsenal against Man Utd last weekend, failing to have a shot but we think this weekend could be a different story as he looks to make an impact in front of the Arsenal faithful.
Much has been made of Gyokeres’ record for Sporting Lisbon over the past couple of seasons and, whilst it will be hard to replicate that form in the Premier League, he certainly showed his pedigree for goalscoring.
How both teams go into Arsenal vs Leeds
Arsenal started their Premier League campaign with a tough looking fixture at Old Trafford against Man Utd. It certainly proved to be just that too, with Man Utd looking dangerous but, ultimately, failing to breach the Arsenal defence. The Gunners will consider themselves a little lucky to have come away from the north west with all three points but their 1-0 victory is now in the history books.
It’s another tough test this weekend, albeit one of a slightly different nature, as Arsenal take on a Leeds side that will be buoyed by their triumphant return to the top flight.
It was a 1-0 victory for Leeds too last weekend, with Everton succumbing to a late penalty against Daniel Farke’s side. Everton didn’t look great in the game but Leeds weren’t too much better and they’ll have to raise their game if they hope to leave North London with any points this weekend.
Leeds’ last loss came all the way back in March against Plymouth, but their unbeaten stretch could be in real jeopardy this weekend as they come up against an Arsenal side with the Premier League title on their mind.

Mikel Arteta will be without Gabriel Jesus, whilst Leandro Trossard is still being assessed to see if he can be involved. It’s also unlikely that Christian Norgaard will make his debut as he continues to struggle with a small issue. Rumours continue to circulate that Eberechi Eze will be joining the club imminently but it’s very unlikely he’ll feature this weekend with the transfer not yet complete.
Leeds team news
Daniel Farke could have a full bill of health heading into Leeds second Premier League game of the season but there are small concerns over the fitness of Ethan Ampadu and Sebastiaan Bornauw, with both unlikely to be fit enough to make the starting eleven.
