Crystal Palace Squawka Score ratings 2025-26

The 2025-26 campaign is over, and while they finished down in 15th in the Premier League, Crystal Palace secured the Uefa Conference League. We’ve taken a look at the Eagles’ most-used XI from the Premier League season below and how the players performed according to the Squawka Score rating system.

The Squawka Score is a metric developed to assess a player’s performance related to other players in the same position. It’s a percentage rating from 0 to 100, calculated based on various per-90-minute statistics, including the obvious stats such as goals and assists, but also some more obscure ones that are more position-specific.

GK: Dean Henderson – 64% – Henderson is among the top goalkeepers in the Premier League this season, ranking well for his goals prevented and a lack of errors leading to shots. He is let down by his saves per 90 minutes and save percentage, though.

RWB: Daniel Munoz – 72% – Munoz is one of the best full-backs/wing-backs in the Premier League. He ranked well in 25/26 for non-penalty Expected Goals, clearances and touches in the opposition box. In fact, Munoz is in the 95th percentile and above among full-backs for shots on target per 90.

RCB: Chris Richards – 56% – Richards won a massive volume of aerial duels this season, while he was also in the 80-95th percentile for clearances. However, his Score is dragged down by underwhelming possession metrics.

CB: Maxence Lacroix – 57% – Lacroix may be slightly lower down the centre-back rankings, but he still has some standout strengths. The Frenchman is in the 95th percentile for clearances, and the 80-95th percentile for aerial duels won and number of challenges lost.

LCB: Marc Guehi – 69% – Guehi is no longer a Crystal Palace player, but remained their most-used XI, such was his importance in the first half of the season. And his departure was a big blow for Palace, with Guehi ranking well for clean sheets, challenges lost and passing metrics.

LWB: Tyrick Mitchell – 65% – Mitchell isn’t as highly-rated as his wing-back partner, but he still ranks pretty well. The Palace man is especially strong in tackles won, as well as clearances, ground duel success and a lack of challenges lost.

RCM: Adam Wharton – 63% – Wharton has done well in certain midfield metrics this season, including successful passes into the penalty area and tackles won. His Score received a huge bump in the second half of the campaign, helped by adding a goal and three assists from early February onward.

LCM: Daichi Kamada – 59% – Kamada overcame some injuries to end the season as a regular starter, and ended up ranking in the 80-95th percentile for tackles won and through balls completed, showing class on both sides of the ball.

RAM: Ismaila Sarr – 41% – Sarr had a slow start to the season, then went off to Afcon. However, once he returned, he found some serious form, scoring six goals in his final 15 appearances of the season to hit nine for the campaign in the Premier League alone. His Score is dragged down by a lack of assists and chances created, while he completed just 0.45 take-ons per 90.

LAM: Yeremy Pino – 47% – Pino scores poorly in many key attacking metrics, but he does sit in the 80-95th percentile for big chances created per 90 and xA. He also ranks in the 95th percentile and above for through balls completed.

ST: Jean-Philippe Mateta – 55% – Mateta remained a consistent source of goals for Palace, even after Jorgen Stand Larsen’s arrival relegated him to the bench. The Frenchman’s 50.79% shooting accuracy put him in the 80-95th percentile, and he ended the season with 12 strikes in the Premier League.

Crystal Palace set-piece specialists:

  • Penalties: Jean-Philippe Mateta
  • Free-kicks: Yeremy Pino, Adam Wharton
  • Corners: Yeremy Pino, Adam Wharton
