Chelsea will be hoping to get their first win under Graham Potter when they travel to face Crystal Palace on Saturday at 3pm (UK time).
Potter has had one game in charge since replacing Thomas Tuchel in the Stamford Bridge dugout, a 1-1 draw with Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League, with this being his Premier League bow as Blues boss. Palace meanwhile will be looking for their second win of the season, having already picked up a point against Liverpool.

William Gallas highlights Raheem Sterling problem Graham Potter has created at Chelsea
In Potter’s first game against Salzburg, the former Brighton manager made a bold call with his starting XI, playing Raheem Sterling at wing-back. For Brighton fans this wasn’t a surprise as Potter had converted Leandro Trossard to wing-back at the Amex with success, and Sterling had opportunities against Salzburg, scoring the first goal of the Potter era.
However, Sterling was brought in by Tuchel to form part of a Chelsea attack that had been struggling for goals last season. In the early stages of the season under Tuchel Sterling had been deployed as a False No.9 and later formed part of a more fluid front three alongside Kai Havertz and Mason Mount.
Sterling remains a winger for England and could yet return further forward for Potter as the new boss finally gets a run with his new team. And former Chelsea defender William Gallas has admitted he didn’t understand the decision to play Sterling at wing-back.
“That is a problem. When I saw Sterling playing as left wing-back, I didn’t understand it,” Gallas told Genting Casino.
“It’s difficult for me to understand why he wants to experiment with something like this, especially in a Champions League game. You are playing at home and you put (Marc) Cucurella as a centre-back, you have (Wesley) Fofana on the bench with (Kalidou) Koulibaly, (Trevoh) Chalobah on the bench, and you put Sterling as a left-wing back? I don’t understand.
“Graham Potter seems like a nice guy and a good manager, but I’m still waiting to see what he’s going to do to get Chelsea back to top form. He looks very calm, and looks like he likes to have conversations with his players from what I see from the outside, but I don’t know if he’s like this in reality.
“I’m still waiting. He did a good job at Brighton, but Chelsea is not Brighton, he has gone to another level with more expectations, more pressure, so it will be good to see if he can be the right manager.”
