It was a goal-fest at the King Power as Leicester beat Watford 4-2 in a snow-influenced contest.
The game was full of thrills and James Maddison was perhaps the star attraction with a goal and two assists, but as usual it was two strikers who stole the headlines with Jamie Vardy and Emmanuel Dennis both on the scoresheet and equalling Premier League records as a result.
Dennis’ goal on the hour mark made it 3-2 and kept things close for a few minutes until Ademola Lookman settled the match seven minutes later, but more impressively the strike meant that the Nigerian forward now had 5 goals and 5 assists in the Premier League in 12 games.

That meant he joined a group of elite Premier League players, including Eric Cantona, Arjen Robben and Bruno Fernandes, in bagging 5 goals and 5 assists in 12 or fewer Premier League games. Considering the quality of Watford’s side, that achievement becomes all the more impressive.
Jamie Vardy is 10 years older than Dennis but still going strong. His brace today, from two amazing finishes as well, moves him on to 9 league goals for the season. That means he has scored a massive 93 Premier League goals since turning 30, a number which draws him level with Ian Wright in the record books.
With Patson Daka appearing to lighten his workload over the long, gruelling season; there’s no telling how many more goals Vardy can manage to score before he’s finally done at the top level.
