What the numbers show
The clearest trend across these five seasons is volume coming down while efficiency goes up. Allen threw 646 passes in 2021. By 2025 that was 460, a drop of 186 attempts, and yet his passer rating over the same span went from 92.2 to 102.2, the best of the five years listed.
His legs account for a good deal of the difference. Rushing touchdowns went 6, 7, 15, 12, 14 across 2021 to 2025, so the goal-line carries that used to be throws are now runs. The interception column tells its own story too: 18 in 2023 was the high, and he has been at 10 or fewer in each of the two seasons since.
