Top-end strikers usually price in the +110 to +180 range when they start and take penalties. Wide forwards, advanced midfielders and full-backs tend to run +400 to +900. The market rewards homework on who starts, who takes set pieces and penalties, and how the tactical matchup shapes the game. A high-pressing side plays into the hands of a fast counter-attacking striker, and the AGS line moves with it.

How to spot Anytime Goalscorer predictions value

Three signals drive our AGS picks. The first is shots-on-target volume over the last twelve club starts: players averaging at least one shot on target per 90 minutes convert at a noticeably higher rate than their +150-type prices imply.

Yes. Penalties scored in regulation time count as goals for AGS settlement. Own goals do not count for the player who deflected the ball, and extra time and shootouts do not count unless the fixture is explicitly priced including extra time.

What happens if the player doesn’t start?

If the player comes on at any point, the bet stands and settles on whether they score, starter or not. If they do not take part at all, bet365 and most other books void the bet and return the stake. Some books also offer a separate “to start and score” price, which carries its own rules.
