The NHL schedule below carries every game on tonight’s slate, the full week ahead, and a grid showing how many games each of the 32 clubs plays over the next six weeks. It rebuilds daily from the league’s own feed.
All times are Eastern. Games in Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver also show the local time, because a 10:00 p.m. ET start is a 7:00 p.m. puck drop in British Columbia. For broadcasters and streaming, see how to watch the NHL in Canada.

Games per team, week by week
This is the table most NHL schedule pages leave out. A club playing four games in a week gives you four nights of its goaltender and its power play; a club playing two gives you half that. It is the number that decides a fantasy lineup and it shapes how often a team shows up in the odds.

Four-game weeks are shown in bold. Counts include every scheduled game in that week, and a week already part-played shows the full week’s total rather than what is left.
Who plays most in the week ahead
Buffalo, Florida, Minnesota, New Jersey, Ottawa, Vegas have the busiest week with 4 games. Anaheim, Los Angeles have the lightest with 2. That gap is worth knowing before you back a goaltender’s save total or a skater’s points over the week, and it is the kind of edge the standings never show. Current form for all 32 is on our NHL power rankings.

How the 2026-27 NHL schedule works
Each club plays 84 games this season, up from 82, so the league runs 1,344 regular-season games in total. That is roughly seven a night, rising to as many as 16 on the busiest Saturdays. The extra two games were added so every club visits every other city at least once over two seasons.
The 2026-27 NHL schedule opened on 29 September 2026 and ends on 10 April 2027, with the playoffs following. Scoring through the season is tracked on our NHL scoring leaders page, and where every club sits is on the NHL playoff picture.
2 games are scheduled for 14 October 2026.
Eighty-four, up from 82 in previous seasons. Across 32 clubs that is 1,344 regular-season games.

Yes. The league’s weekly counts, and almost every fantasy and pool format, run Monday through Sunday. That is how the NHL schedule grid on this page is built.
