How Leagues Cup Phase One works

Every club in the Leagues Cup plays three cross-league games, MLS against Liga MX. There are no draws. If the score is level after 90 minutes, the game goes straight to a penalty shootout, and the winner banks two points while the loser takes one. The top four MLS teams and the top four Liga MX teams then advance to the knockout rounds.

    LAFC vs Queretaro FC prediction

Queretaro FC arrives at BMO Stadium facing a steep climb against a side priced at three-quarters probability to win, and nothing about the no-draws format or home-field advantage suggests the upset is within reach. Prediction: LAFC to win, 2-0.
