    How Leagues Cup Phase One works

    Every club in the Leagues Cup plays three cross-league games, MLS against Liga MX. There are no draws: level after 90 minutes and the tie goes straight to a penalty shootout, with the winner banking two points and the loser one. The top four from each league table advance to the knockout rounds.
