Calgary had won four straight at home, then were shut out in Edmonton
The Flames are 5-7-0 and twenty-eighth, on a goal difference of minus seventeen. Edmonton beat them 4-0 on Wednesday in the Battle of Alberta.
The four games before that were all wins at the Saddledome, and all of them were tight: 3-2 over Carolina, 2-1 over Minnesota, 4-1 over Detroit and 5-2 over Toronto. Nine of the eleven goals they conceded in that run came in two of the four games.

Seattle is sixth, and it is all built at home
The Kraken are 8-4-1 and sixth on seventeen points. They beat Toronto 5-4 at Climate Pledge Arena on Wednesday and have taken four of their last six.
The road form is the hole in it. They were beaten 8-3 in Florida and lost 4-3 past regulation in Tampa, and this is their first game away from home in twelve days. Fifty goals in thirteen games is a good return; forty-six against is not.
