Tampa Bay swept the Yankees and have not played since Wednesday. Cleveland were two games down to the White Sox and won three straight to get here. The ALCS opens at the Trop on Monday night, and Kalshi, the CFTC-regulated US prediction market, has the Rays well clear.

Match markets — Guardians vs Rays
Tampa Bay sit at 59% and Cleveland at 40%, the widest Game 1 gap of either Championship Series. The World Series board is harsher still: the Rays are 22% and the Guardians 11%, the longest price of the four teams left. Cleveland have spent this postseason being underestimated and have twice made the market look wrong.

The pitching matchup explains most of that gap. Tampa Bay hand the ball back to Drew Rasmussen, who took a no-hitter into the eighth and struck out 10 across eight scoreless innings in the ALDS opener. Cleveland, having used Parker Messick and Gavin Williams to survive a five-game series, turn to Foster Griffin — a deadline acquisition from Washington who posted a 5.19 ERA across nine regular-season starts for them.
