Denver won ugly in New Orleans
The Nuggets beat the Pelicans 104-91 on Wednesday after a 37-18 first quarter. Nikola Jokic had 21 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists, and Murray scored 23 with five threes. Murray had 42 in the overtime win over the same opponent on Saturday.
Cameron Johnson missed Wednesday with an ankle injury. Julian Strawther is out for about six weeks. Nembhard did not play.

The Suns lost their opener 124-83 in Portland, then Devin Booker scored 43 in a win over Golden State before managing three points in Oklahoma City on Monday.
Jalen Green scored 20 in Oklahoma City, and Khaman Maluach, the young centre, started there and finished with 12 points and seven rebounds. Phoenix is 0-2 away.
Brooks scored 19 in that game and averaged a career-high 20.2 last season. Mark Williams has had surgery on a torn labrum in his left shoulder and will miss an extended spell.
