Calgary has won three in a row and all three came at home
The Flames are 4-6-0 with a goal difference of minus sixteen, and they have won three in a row: 3-2 against Carolina, 2-1 against Minnesota and 4-1 against Detroit on Saturday.
Every game in that run was at the Saddledome. Calgary has taken nine points from its last three at home and the heavy defeats came away, 6-2 at Vegas among them. Toronto is the fourth visitor in a row.
Devin Cooley was in goal for Saturday’s win and carries a .912 across five starts, against Dustin Wolf’s .834 across five. Jonathan Huberdeau is out until around 2 November and Mikael Backlund is day to day with a return date of today.

Toronto has won four in a row with ten players out
The Leafs are 7-4-2 and have beaten San Jose 3-1, Columbus 6-2, the Rangers 5-4 and Edmonton 7-2. That is their best run of the season and it has come with the longest injury list in the league.
Ten players are listed. John Tavares is out until 27 November, Max Domi until 21 November and Nick Blankenburg until 12 November. Chris Tanev joined them on injured reserve on Sunday with an upper-body injury and a 31 October date, alongside Miles Wood, William Villeneuve, Marshall Rifai and Cade Webber.
The goaltending is still shared. Sergei Bobrovsky has eight starts at a .895 and Anthony Stolarz five at a .907, and Stolarz has the better record at 4-1-0 after stopping 30 of 32 at Edmonton.

Who starts in goal is an open question. Toronto Maple Leafs has split between Bobrovsky (8 starts, .895) and Stolarz (4, .898), and Calgary Flames has split between Wolf (5 starts, .834) and Cooley (4, .898). A save percentage is a season aggregate rather than a lineup, so treat either name as a possibility and not a plan.
Our NHL injury report tracks every other club.

Auston Matthews, Toronto. Eight goals in twelve with Tavares and Domi both out of the lineup around him.
Devin Cooley, Calgary. A .898 across four starts and the goaltender behind both recent wins.
Anthony Stolarz, Toronto. A 3-1-0 record and a .898, slightly ahead of Bobrovsky on both counts.
Score prediction
Toronto Maple Leafs 5-3 Calgary Flames. Toronto has won the last five meetings and this series does not produce low-scoring games.
Maple Leafs vs Flames prediction
Toronto is the side we would take. Five straight in the series, four straight wins overall, and Calgary is minus sixteen on the season.
The case for Calgary is narrow but real: the three-game run is all home form, and Cooley has been much the better of its two goaltenders. Our lean: Toronto, and the over. The last five meetings produced 6, 7, 8, 9 and 7 goals, and Toronto has put up 7, 5 and 6 in three of its last four. Toronto is between −150 and −179 across the four books above, so the shopping is worth doing.
Our NHL power rankings has all 32 in order, and the rest of Monday’s games is on the NHL schedule.
