Macklin Celebrini scored 115 points in his second NHL season, at nineteen. The Macklin Celebrini stats below are current to 29 October, and the third season is quietly more interesting than the second. His point rate has barely moved. Almost everything underneath it has.

The jump from year one to year two is the one everybody remembers: 63 points to 115, and a plus-minus that went from minus thirty-one to plus eight. San Jose improved around him. Doubling a rookie return is his own work.
The point rate has held. The goals have not.
1.40 a game last season, 1.36 this. On the surface nothing has changed. Underneath, the mix has moved a long way.
The assists are running at almost exactly last season’s rate. The goals are not. The shots are. He is shooting 11.4 per cent against 15.7 last year, and his career mark is 13.2. Five goals from 44 shots is a cold run rather than a decline, and the shots themselves are still arriving.
That distinction matters for anyone reading the scoring race. A player whose assists hold and whose shooting percentage dips is usually about to score more, not less. A player losing both is the one in trouble.
Twenty-three minutes a night at twenty
The ice time has gone up every season: 19:47, then 21:18, now 22:54. Very few twenty-year-old centres play that much, and it is the clearest statement San Jose has made about him.
The career totals now read 75 goals and 118 assists for 193 points in 163 games. That is a rate of 1.18 a game across three seasons, two of which he spent on one of the weaker teams in the league.
The career numbers behind the headline
| Career, three seasons | Macklin Celebrini |
|---|---|
| Games played | 163 |
| Goals | 75 |
| Assists | 118 |
| Points | 193 |
| Points per game | 1.18 |
| Power-play points | 63 |
| Power-play goals | 18 |
| Game-winning goals | 10 |
| Shooting percentage | 13.2% |
| Faceoffs won | 48.4% |
| Time on ice per game | 20:46 |
Two of those numbers are worth pausing on. Sixty-three of his 193 points have come on the power play, which is a third of his output and a normal share for a first-unit centre. Ten game-winners in 163 games is a high rate for a player on a team that has not won many, and that one is not luck at this sample size.
The faceoff number is the honest weakness. At 48.4 per cent across three seasons he is below even, which is common for a young centre and is the thing most likely to improve with strength. It is also the reason he is not yet taking every important draw.
So how good is Macklin Celebrini?
On this evidence, a point-a-game centre at worst and a 115-point one at best, still improving, and still twenty. He sits 22nd in the NHL scoring race on a club outside the playoff places.
Of all the Macklin Celebrini stats on this page, the shooting percentage is the one to watch. If it climbs back toward his career 13.2 while the assists hold, the goals follow and the points go up from here. If the ice time keeps rising too, this becomes a much louder conversation by the spring.

15 in 11 games: 5 goals and 10 assists, at 1.36 a game. He is 22nd in the NHL scoring race.
115, from 45 goals and 70 assists in 82 games. It was his second NHL season and he was nineteen for most of it.
He is twenty, born on 13 June 2006 in North Vancouver, British Columbia.
75 goals and 118 assists for 193 points in 163 regular-season games, a rate of 1.18 a game.
Not on the assists, which are running at last season’s rate. His shooting percentage has fallen from 15.7 to 11.4 against a career mark of 13.2, so the goals are cold rather than gone.
