The free entry is the genuinely useful half, because most pick’em welcome offers need money in first. But there is a catch ParlayPlay is upfront about and most reviews skip: winnings from a Free Entry arrive as Promo Funds, and Promo Funds cannot be withdrawn. You have to play them in another contest and win before they become Cash Funds. So the free $5 is a genuine try-before-you-deposit, but it is two wins away from being money, not one.
The $100 match is the conventional part, and a match is only worth face value if you were going to deposit that much anyway. There is no promo code.
Payouts: what the multipliers actually run to
This is where pick’em apps differ most, and ParlayPlay is more transparent than most. Every stat projection carries its own multiplier, and your payout is calculated from the combination of players and projections you select. It is displayed before you submit and does not change once the entry is in.

Some projections only offer a multiplier on one side, More or Less, in which case that is the only side you can take. There is also Hit It, a separate format paying 6x if you call both value ranges correctly and 2x for one of two.

Broader than most pick’em apps, and unusually good for soccer:

Withdrawals
Two methods. Debit card withdrawals are often processed within minutes, but only if that card has been used for at least one successful deposit, and some issuers block them. ACH (e-check) transfers need a linked bank account and typically take 1–3 business days. PayPal, Venmo and similar are not supported.
Three conditions before you can withdraw at all: a minimum balance of $10, at least one deposit with full verification, and the deposit playthrough requirement — you must play through your deposited funds before withdrawing. Deposit $10 and you need $10 of cash entries before the balance is free.

ParlayPlay: the verdict
The no-deposit $5 and the soccer coverage are the two real reasons to look. Very few operators let you play a real card before funding an account, and almost none carry international soccer this seriously. The payout ceiling of 1000x is high, and the Insurance option on lower-multiplier cards is a sensible middle ground.
The caveats are the footprint, the age floor and the Promo Funds rule. Twenty states is on the small side, a flat 21+ requirement is stricter than most of the category, and free-entry winnings needing a second win before they are withdrawable is the sort of condition that only shows up after you have played.
