There are few better stages for a Leagues Cup opener than a floodlit BMO Stadium, and LAFC will fancy their chances of lighting it up against a Chivas side they only just edge on the Kalshi board.
The market makes this a tight one, LAFC at 42% to Chivas’ 33%, with the draw-to-penalties outcome very much alive. It is the first of three Phase One games for the Black and Gold, who need a top-four MLS finish to progress. Kickoff at BMO Stadium is set for 11:30 PM ET / 10:30 PM CT / 8:30 PM PT on Wednesday, August 5.

How Leagues Cup Phase One works
Every club in the Leagues Cup plays three cross-league games, MLS against Liga MX. There are no draws. If the score is level after 90 minutes, the game goes straight to a penalty shootout, and the winner banks two points while the loser takes one. The top four MLS teams and the top four Liga MX teams then advance to the knockout rounds.
