Canada buys its NBA rights separately from the United States, so a guide written for American viewers will send you to networks you can’t get here. This season three names cover nearly everything. Sportsnet and TSN share the Raptors. Prime Video is new, with exclusive games of its own. League Pass, the NBA’s streaming service, covers games that no Canadian broadcaster holds. Here is how to watch NBA in Canada in 2026-27, service by service, starting with the Raptors’ next games. 19+ (18+ in AB, MB and QC).

Sportsnet and TSN share the Raptors
The Raptors’ Canadian rights sit with two broadcasters. Sportsnet belongs to Rogers and TSN belongs to Bell, and they split the season game by game. So the channel changes from one night to the next, which is why the table above exists. A fan who wants every Raptors game needs both.
Each network streams its own share. Sportsnet’s games are on Sportsnet+, and TSN’s are on TSN.ca and the TSN app, with a TV provider login or a subscription bought direct. Both can also be added as channels inside Prime Video. A few Raptors games go to Prime Video instead. Prices move, so check each provider’s own page rather than a figure quoted in an article, this one included.
Is the NBA on TSN this season? Yes. TSN carries its half of the Raptors schedule, and RDS or RDS2 picks up some of those games in French.
Prime Video is new this season
Amazon signed an 11-year global deal with the NBA that started in the United States last season, and the Canadian part begins in 2026-27. Its Canadian package was announced as 66 regular-season games, all six play-in games and some first- and second-round playoff games. NBA Cup games are in it too.
These games are exclusive to Prime members. There is no TV channel to find. If the Raptors are the only club you follow, Prime matters on the nights it has them. If you watch the whole league, it’s hard to do without.
NBA League Pass in Canada
League Pass is the NBA’s own service for out-of-market games, and it is sold in Canada. The NBA says blackouts apply here because broadcasters hold exclusive rights to some games. Every Raptors game listed so far sits with Sportsnet, TSN or Prime Video, so expect the Raptors to be blacked out live on League Pass.
That makes League Pass the right buy for a fan of another club and the wrong one for a Raptors fan. Prices and plans vary by region, and the NBA posts the current Canadian price on its own League Pass page. Read the small print. Amazon has also said League Pass will be sold through Prime Video in Canada. Check the blackout rules on the NBA’s site before you pay.
NBA TV Canada is not the American NBA TV
NBA TV Canada is a Canadian specialty channel owned by MLSE, the Raptors’ parent company. It is a different channel from the American NBA TV, and the two schedules don’t match. You get it through a TV provider, not as an app. Rogers has held a controlling stake in MLSE since 2025, which puts the channel in the same family as Sportsnet. Your provider’s guide shows what it carries on a given night.
You don’t need ESPN, NBC or Peacock
American guides list ESPN, ABC, NBC, Peacock and Prime Video. Only Prime Video’s deal reaches Canada, and even then the Canadian package is its own list of games. A game shown on ESPN or NBC in the United States gets to Canadian viewers through Sportsnet, TSN, Prime Video or League Pass. None of those American accounts is needed. That is the one thing to get right about how to watch NBA in Canada: the Canadian rights holders decide where a game is shown, whoever produces the American broadcast.

Watching and betting the same game
If you plan to bet on a game you’re watching, the legal route depends on your province, not your broadcaster. Ontario and Alberta run open markets where licensed private sportsbooks compete. Everywhere else, the provincial lottery platform is the legal option. Our NBA betting hub sets out who can take your bet in each province, and the list below is matched to where you are.
