Mexico vs England: how it unfolded

Jude Bellingham struck twice in the space of two minutes (36 and 38) to stun the Azteca, and although Julián Quiñones pulled one back before the break, Harry Kane’s 60th-minute penalty restored the two-goal cushion. Raúl Jiménez’s penalty set up a tense finish, and Mexico threw everything at England — out-shooting them 20-6 — but Thomas Tuchel‘s side held on to reach the quarter-finals.
