Who Are the Favorites for the 2026 MLS Cup?

The outright winner market is always the most popular pre-tournament bet. However, we’re still months away from the start of the 2026 season, so odds are not yet live.

There is a full winter transfer market to navigate, so rosters will change significantly in the coming months, while the World Cup is sure to have an effect, disrupting some teams and offering a much-needed break for others. 

However, at this stage, it’s hard to look past Messi’s Inter Miami or Son Heung-min’s LAFC as major favorites, while the likes of FC Cincinnati, Vancouver Whitecaps, Philadelphia Union, and San Diego FC were all strong in 2025.

2026 MLS Betting Preview

30 teams will contest the 2026 season, split between 15 teams in each of the Eastern and Western Conferences. That’s just as it was in 2025, with no expansion teams coming into the league next year. Format: 30 teams, split into two Conferences of 15.
