From Am\u00e9rica to the Premier League<\/h2>\n

Jim\u00e9nez broke through at Club Am\u00e9rica, winning the Liga MX Clausura in 2013, before a 2014 move to Atl\u00e9tico Madrid. It did not work out in Spain, but a switch to Benfica did: he won back-to-back Primeira Liga titles (2015-16 and 2016-17). In 2019 he joined Wolverhampton Wanderers permanently for a then club-record fee of around £30m, where he became a Premier League favourite, later moving to Fulham in 2023 and returning to Wolves in 2026. In all he has scored more than 140 club goals.<\/p>\n\n

The comeback<\/h2>\n

Jim\u00e9nez’s career was almost ended in November 2020 when he suffered a fractured skull in a collision at Arsenal, requiring surgery and months out. His return to the pitch — often in protective headgear — is one of the game’s great recovery stories.<\/p>\n\n
