Real Zaragoza team news
Momentum is not exactly on Real Zaragoza’s side coming into this Copa del Rey fixture. Juan Ignacio Martínez’s side have lost three of their previous four matches in all competitions. The only exception was a Copa win over Burgos (2-0) last month. Los Maños, who play their football in Spain’s second division, are six-time winners of this competition with their most recent success coming in 2003/04 when they defeated Real Madrid’s galacticos. If they are to progress from this present round then it will have to be done without the suspended Valentin Vada while Carlos Vigaray and Daniel Lasure remain in the physio room.
Real Zaragoza predicted XI: Raton; A Lopez, L Lopez, Clemente, Nieto; Zapater, Eguaras, Adrian; Yanis, Azon, Sainz.
Sevilla team news
A run of four wins across their previous five league matches has seen Sevilla establish themselves as Real Madrid’s nearest challenger. However, immediate attention is on winning a sixth Copa del Rey title. Julen Lopetegui’s men were dumped out by Barcelona in the semi-final stage last season and they began this competition with back-to-back post-90 minute wins over Córdoba (0-1 after extra time) and Andratx (on penalties). Erik Lamela and Suso are both sidelined for the Andalusien side. They are joined on the absentee list by Youssef En-Nesyri (international duty) and Jesus Navas though Jules Kounde will be available after serving a ban.
Sevilla predicted XI: Dmitrovic; Juanlu, Gudelj, Rekik, Augustinsson; Rakitic, Jordan, Torres; El Haddadi, Romero, Idrissi.
Scoreline prediction: Real Zaragoza 1-2 Sevilla
