After such a positive 2024\/25 season, Nottingham Forest have spent this campaign desperately battling against relegation. Where do their current odds stand?<\/p>\n\n\n

Nottingham Forest finished seventh in the Premier League last season, which sealed European football. It was the Uefa Conference League<\/a> at first, but they were then boosted to the Europa League<\/a> at the expense of Crystal Palace<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This season has been a completely different story. The Tricky Trees haven’t been higher than 15th since week three, and haven’t been outside the bottom five since week five. At the time of writing, they’re 17th, but are just three points above West Ham and struggling for consistency, while the Hammers are putting a good run together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sean Dyche was sacked after a 0-0 draw at home to basement side Wolves, set to be replaced by Vitor Pereira.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even just making the top half is now an outlandish prospect for Forest. The Midlands club are nine points adrift of 10th-place Newcastle at the time of writing, with six clubs jammed between them. Odds of 25\/1 represent a 3.8% probability that Forest will somehow climb into the top 10 before the end of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tricky Trees are yet to have a Golden Boot winner in the Premier League era. Chris Wood was their top scorer in the league last season, netting 20 goals. Only three players netted more than him in the league, and one of them includes this season’s runaway leader, Erling Haaland. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wood has scored just two goals this season, which has been disrupted by injury. Morgan Gibbs-White is Forest’s top scorer with six goals, but there is no market for him to win the Golden Boot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nottingham Forest PFA Player of the Year odds: Outright odds and predictions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A Nottingham Forest player has won the PFA Player of the Year award just once in history. Peter Shilton was the recipient of the award for his performances in goal as Forest won the First Division. The likes of Chris Wood and Morgan Gibbs-White were Forest’s best hopes for 2025\/26, but there’s no chance of either taking the award now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nottingham Forest ins and outs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Nottingham Forest had a busy summer, buoyed by their European qualification. The Tricky Trees broke their all-time transfer record with the signing of Omari Hutchinson for \u00a337.5m — one of four arrivals costing them \u00a330m+. The others were James McAtee, Dan Ndoye and Dilane Bakwa. Arnaud Kalimuendo, Nicolo Savona, Jair Cunha, Igor Jesus, John Victor and Angus Gunn have all bolstered the first team. Douglas Luiz and Oleksandr Zinchenko were loan arrivals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Forest were also busy with outgoings. Anthony Elanga was the biggest departure, joining Newcastle United<\/a> for \u00a355million, with Forest unable to turn down that kind of money. Danilo, Matt Turner, Ramon Sosa and Andrew Omobamidele are among the other permanent departures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winter was a little more measured, with Lorenzo Lucca signing on loan from Napoli, and Stefan Ortega and Luca Netz arriving for smaller fees. Meanwhile, Arnaud Kalimuendo and Cuibano went to Eintracht Frankfurt and Vasco, respectively, on loan, while Zinchenko and Luiz’s loans were both cut short.<\/p>\n\n\n
