It’s been another turbulent season for Manchester United, but under Michael Carrick, things seem to be improving. Read on to see their outright odds for the 2025-26 Premier League<\/a> season, which has now become all about trying to return to the Champions League.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given where they finished last season, Man Utd’s title hopes were slim going into the new campaign. The Red Devils finished 42 points behind Premier League winners Liverpool in 2024-25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Man Utd haven’t won the title since 2012-13, their longest drought since going 26 years between First Division wins in 1966-67 and 1992-93. The Red Devils are 12 points off the pace at the time of writing and don’t look likely to end their current dry spell. Interestingly, they have the same odds and probability of winning the Premier League as Aston Villa, despite trailing Unai Emery’s men by five points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Top five was enough to seal Champions League football in the Premier League last season. But while likely again, that isn’t a guarantee, so top four will be the aim. Man Utd finished 27 points outside the top four last season and were never really in the European conversation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With no European football to fill up their fixture list this season, though, Man Utd will fancy their chances to upset the pack from 2024-25. Especially considering how much they’ve improved under Michael Carrick, who has replaced Ruben Amorim as interim boss. United have won four and drawn one of their five matches under the former midfielder so far. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last season was just the seventh time Man Utd have failed to finish in the top four since the Premier League began in 1992-93. The last time Man Utd failed in back-to-back campaigns, they came second in the next season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A top-six finish generally seals European football in the Premier League. And it’s usually the Europa League — though in 2023-24 it was the Conference League. The only time it doesn’t is if the two domestic cup winners don’t qualify for Europe through the league.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s been 12 years since the sixth-placed Premier League side didn’t qualify for Europe. Everton were the unlucky side in 2012-13 when Swansea City won the League Cup but finished ninth, while FA Cup winners Wigan Athletic were relegated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Man Utd Golden Boot odds: Outright odds and predictions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A Man Utd player hasn’t won the Premier League Golden Boot since Robin van Persie scored 26 goals to help the Red Devils seal the title in 2012-13. Amad Diallo and Bruno Fernandes were Man Utd’s top scorers in the league last season, netting eight goals each. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bryan Mbeumo is Man Utd’s top goalscorer so far this season with nine Premier League goals, while Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha and Bruno Fernandes are all on six. None of them is even close to Golden Boot leader Erling Haaland, however, with the Man City striker on 22 goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mbeumo has odds of 100\/1 to win the Golden Boot, while Matheus Cunha is a 150\/1 bet, well behind the likes of Haaland, Igor Thiago and Antoine Semenyo. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wayne Rooney was the last Man Utd player to be named PFA Player of the Year, taking the award in 2009-10. He also wrapped up the Football Writers’ Association’s Footballer of the Year, the PFA Fans’ Player of the Year and Premier League Player of the Season awards. Bruno Fernandes made the final six for the 2024-25 award, and he’s currently the surprise third-favourite this campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Man Utd ins and outs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Man Utd spent big in the summer. The Red Devils had three marquee signings, all joining for fees upwards of \u00a360million. Benjamin Sesko was the most-expensive, joining from RB Leipzig for \u00a373.7m. Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha also joined for \u00a371m and \u00a362.5m, respectively. There was also a new arrival in goal in the form of Senne Lammens, while Diego Leon joined as a left-back option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jonny Evans called time on his playing career in the summer but remained at Man Utd as their new head of loans and pathways. Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof both left after their contracts ended. Marcus Rashford joined Barcelona on a season-long loan, while Jadon Sancho, Rasmus Hojlund and Andre Onana also left on temporary moves. Alejandro Garnacho was sold to Chelsea for \u00a340m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

United didn’t make any January signings, while the only movement within their squad was Toby Collyer, Harry Amass and Ethan Wheatley all changing loan clubs.<\/p>\n\n\n
