Germany were runners-up in 2022, having been underdogs throughout the competition. <em>DFB-Frauen<\/em> were slightly unfancied once more, but they have a strong young squad. They had an interesting group at Euro 2025, drawn against Denmark and Sweden, as well as newcomers Poland. Germany regrouped during the 15-minute interval and equalised when Sjoeke N\u00fcsken converted from 12 yards.
