Wendie Renard, Kenza Dali and Eugenie Le Sommer were all left out of their squad, creating a lot of headlines. Marie-Antoinette Katoto and Sandy Baltimore scored France&#8217;s goals, and England only got one back late on. Although they did equalise after Clara Mateo&#8217;s opener, Wales&#8217; resolve eventually ran out. Kadidiatou Diani scored a penalty to put France ahead just before half-time, with Amel Majri and Grace Geyoro netting in the second half.
