It takes a particular type of player to be able to carve out an opportunity for their teammate by spotting a gap in a defensive line, whether through producing a pinpoint pass, whipping in a stunning cross, or executing an accurate set-piece.<\/p>\n

In the Premier League<\/a> this season, Bruno Fernandes is currently leading the way for chances created with 86 so far including 12 from set pieces. But the Man Utd playmaker isn’t comfortable at the top, with Trent Alexander-Arnold following him closely, the full-back also co-leads the division for assists too, with 12, as he tries to help Liverpool to the Premier League title<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There is then a drop to Kevin De Bruyne who completes the top three on 71 chances created, 19 of which have come from set pieces. Behind the Belgian playmaker are three players also the 60s — James Ward-Prowse, who has created the most set-piece chances, Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard — they’re ahead of Mohamed Salah, Raphinha and Son Heung-Min who has been revived as Spurs push for the Champions League<\/a>.<\/p>\n
