The<\/strong> 2026\/27 Premier League season<\/strong><\/a> is in full flow amid plenty of intrigue in the dugout following a frenzied summer of activity.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were a record-smashing 11 in-season Premier League managerial changes in 2025\/26, while another nine managers have vacated their posts since the campaign ended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To put everything into context. Roberto De Zerbi is now the 11th-longest-serving current Premier League manager, despite having only taken charge of Tottenham in March 2026; a sign of just how quickly the managerial landscape has changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alvaro Arbeloa (Fulham)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Football management can be a strange game. One minute you can be shouting instructions to Kylian Mbappe and co at Real Madrid, and the next you\u2019re taking charge at Fulham<\/a>. That is no slight on the Cottagers, but it shows just how quickly things can change in the dugout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The man in question is, of course, Alvaro Arbeloa. The Spaniard has endured a poor start to his Fulham tenure, losing all three league games so far, which has seen Sky Bet install him as the new 13\/8 favourite to be the first exit of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fulham have only lost their opening three top-flight games on two previous occasions – in 1951\/52 and 2020\/21 – and on both occasions they were ultimately relegated. Arbeloa\u2019s side now face tough back-to-back clashes against Liverpool and Manchester United.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roberto De Zerbi (Tottenham)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Tottenham<\/a> headed into the new season with renewed optimism following an influx of new signings, fuelling hopes that they could challenge towards the top end of the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, that optimism has quickly evaporated after a nightmare start. Tottenham are 18th in the table with just one point to their name. They have failed to score in the opening three top-flight games for the first time in 52 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now priced at 5\/1 in the betting, Roberto De Zerbi faces an immediate challenge to get his raft of new recruits settled and performing quickly. If results don’t improve, the pressure on the Spurs boss could build rapidly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oliver Glasner (Nottingham Forest)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Nottingham Forest<\/a>\u2019s Oliver Glasner is arguably the most intriguing name in the top five of the betting at 15\/2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Glasner himself is an excellent manager who inspired Crystal Palace to FA Cup, Community Shield, and most recently Conference League glory. Let\u2019s not forget he also won the Europa League with Frankfurt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The concern here is not Glasner. It\u2019s the bloke who owns his new club. Evangelos Marinakis has scored his way through four managers since the start of last season, with Vitor Pereira the latest to get the axe in July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That makes Glasner\u2019s position particularly unnerving. The Austrian has yet to win any of his four league and cup games, but has picked up points against Liverpool and Tottenham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michael Carrick (Manchester United)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Manchester United<\/a> have experienced a rather topsy-turvy start to the season. The Red Devils were stunned by newly promoted Hull City in their opening game before responding in emphatic fashion with a 5-2 thrashing of Ipswich. However, they were unable to build on that result, conceding a late equaliser in a 2-2 draw away at Everton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 17\/2, Carrick is not under any immediate pressure, particularly after the superb job he did during the second half of last season. Nevertheless, United\u2019s defensive frailties will be a concern, and supporters will demand significant improvement at the back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the return of European football set to add another layer to the fixture schedule, Carrick will need to find a solution quickly if United are to avoid their early-season inconsistencies becoming a bigger problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frank Lampard (Coventry City)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Frank Lampard has returned to the Premier League following a stunning season with Coventry City<\/a>, who he led to Championship glory, returning the club to the Premier League for the first time in 25 years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lampard is an absolute hero at the Sky Blues, and the club should give him time this season, especially after recently signing a new deal that runs until 2029.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The former Chelsea boss was the 4\/1 favourite to be sacked first after gameweek two. But, despite suffering a third straight defeat to nil in the third game, his odds have jetted out to 14\/1. Lampard will now seek his first points at home to Brighton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
