England vs Argentina card tips are in sharp focus as two of international football’s fiercest rivals battle for a place in the 2026 World Cup final. The semi-final kicks off at 8:00 pm (UK time) on Wednesday, 15th July at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, where both teams will bring intensity from the first whistle in pursuit of a place in the World Cup final.

Our England vs Argentina card tips focus on two midfielders who stand out at appealing prices in the player cards market. The fierce rivalry between these nations and the stakes of a World Cup semi-final should produce a fiercely competitive contest, with plenty of robust challenges likely to keep the referee busy throughout the evening.

Jude Bellingham to be carded (7/2 with Paddy Power)

Jude Bellingham managed to avoid a booking against Norway, but that disciplined display came with suspension hanging over his head. With the slate now wiped clean, expect the England midfielder to return to his usual combative style against an Argentina side renowned for disrupting opponents and drawing them into physical battles.

Jude Bellingham has collected nine yellow cards across his last 32 England appearances and picked up bookings in three of his nine knockout matches at major tournaments, including the Euro 2024 semi-final. He embraces the physical side of the game, and that aggressive approach regularly puts him on the referee’s radar. Paddy Power’s 7/2 offers excellent value on Bellingham to be carded, while Betfred also tempt punters with 66/1 on the England midfielder being sent off.

Enzo Fernandez to be carded (4/1 with Paddy Power)

Enzo Fernandez has escaped a booking during this World Cup, but Wednesday’s semi-final should ask very different questions of the Argentina midfielder. He averages 1.2 fouls per game in the tournament and will spend much of the evening trying to slow down Jude Bellingham, Declan Rice and England’s powerful midfield runners.

Few matches carry more emotion than England against Argentina, and every duel is likely to be contested at full throttle. Fernandez’s disciplinary record suggests he is no stranger to crossing the line either. He picked up 10 yellow cards in the Premier League last season, and another physical display could easily end with his name in the referee’s notebook. At 4/1 with Paddy Power, the odds look bigger than they should for a midfielder likely to spend much of the game breaking up attacks.
