Ecuador generated just seven shots against Mexico and created nothing of substance. Piero Hincapie&#8217;s stoppage-time red card completed a miserable evening &#8211; a symbolic end to a campaign that promised far more than its four points and three goals ultimately delivered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Germany win will live long in the memory.
