The fixture sees Champions League<\/a> hopefuls Aston Villa take on a Tottenham side battling the dreaded drop, in a clash with major implications at both ends of the table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why is Aston Villa vs Tottenham kicking-off at 7pm on Sunday?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Aston Villa take on Tottenham at Villa Park at the unusual time of 7pm on Sunday 3rd May. It’s one of three Premier League matches that day, following Bournemouth vs Crystal Palace (2pm) and Manchester United vs Liverpool (3.30pm).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The match has been moved from its original Saturday 12.30pm TV slot on TNT Sports due to Aston Villa\u2019s involvement in the Europa League<\/a> semi-finals against Nottingham Forest. With the first-leg taking place this Thursday night at the City Ground, the quick turnaround makes Saturday’s initial 12.30pm kick-off impractical as the game must not be played earlier than Sunday afternoon, hence the switch to Sunday at 7pm, which is a rarely used free slot for TV games.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As it stands, Aston Villa go into gameweek 35 sitting 5th, level on points with 4th-placed Liverpool, three behind Manchester United in 3rd, and eight clear of Brighton in 6th.
