Arsenal make the trip to the Etihad Stadium to face Manchester City in the Premier League<\/a> this weekend.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This top of the table clash kicks off at 4:30pm (GMT) on Sunday and will be available to watch live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    While the Gunners booked their Champions League semi-final spot in midweek, the north London side are struggling heading into the final furlong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Arsenal team news vs Man City<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    With Noni Madueke out and Bukayo Saka a doubt, Mikel Arteta has an attacking decision to make.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Gabriel Martinelli has previously started on the right for the Gunners, and given his fine record against Man City, the Brazilian may start here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The alternative is to have Max Dowman feature out wide, though that in itself is a risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Midfielders Martin Odegaard and Mikel Merino are both absent, while Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori will be assessed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

    Ben White should continue at right-back. Piero Hincapie could displace Myles Lewis-Skelly at left-back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Eberechi Eze is another who might come into the side in place of Kai Havertz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Zubimendi concerns<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    When Arsenal signed Martin Zubimendi last summer, it was a coup for the Gunners. The Spaniard looked set for a move to Liverpool only to remain with Real Sociedad back in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    His addition was one that signalled Arsenal’s intentions to challenge for top honours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    And initially, Zubimendi thrived. He dictated the tempo well, while his positional sense meant he was an effective safety net for the side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In recent weeks, though, cracks have started to show. Indeed, the Spain international was seen being consoled by teammates following last week’s loss to Bournemouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The 27-year-old carelessness in possession of late has resulted in Arsenal’s dip. It’s something that will be ruthlessly exposed by City on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In a midfield battle with compatriot Rodri, it’s a real test to determine who is the better Spanish midfielder in the Premier League. As things stand, it’s the 2024 Ballon d’Or winner who will come out on top.<\/p>\n\n\n
