The 2025-26 season is nearly upon us and, with it, comes a whole host of ante-post betting. We’re focusing on one of the favourites – the top scorer market. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our prediction for 2025-26 top scorers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Mo Salah (Liverpool) – 5\/1<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Liverpool attacker signed a new contract at the tail end of last season and was crowned Premier League top scorer shortly after. The Reds have strengthened this summer but Salah still looks to be the main man down the right hand side for Arne Slot’s side. He’s managed at least 18 goals in each of his eight seasons at the club. If he achieves that again, could it be enough to secure another Golden Boot?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

George Hirst (Ipswich Town) – 10\/1<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Hirst managed three goals in the Premier League last season but comes into the new campaign looking as though he’ll be first choice striker for Ipswich Town following the departure of Liam Delap. He’s only managed to net 10+ goals in a season once in his career so far but we’re predicting a breakout year for the 26-year-old and we’re backing him to be Championship top scorer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alfie May (Huddersfield) – 5\/1<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

May completed his move to Huddersfield this summer, leaving Birmingham after just one season. He managed to score 16 goals for the Blues last season but struggled to nail down a starting spot at times. At Huddersfield he should be the main man though, and his record for both Cheltenham Town and Charlton Athletic was great in League One. If he can hit the ground running he could notch 20+ goals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aaron Collins (MK Dons) – 5\/1<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Collins is another new recruit, joining MK Dons from Bolton Wanderers and instantly being installed as favourite to lead the goalscoring charts this season. It’s been a while since he scored on a regular basis, although he did notch 12 goals in 44 appearances last season, but a move to MK Dons could be what he needs to find his goalscoring touch again. MK Dons are favourites to win the League Two title this season and Collins is a big reason why.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whilst the favourites always dominate the betting market when it comes to goalscorers, there is plenty of value to be found in the each way market too. We’ve been doing our research and think we’ve come up with a great each way acca using some names you might not be as familiar with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Joao Pedro (Chelsea) – 16\/1<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Joao Pedro joined Chelsea from Brighton this summer and impressed in the Club World Cup. There are still some doubts over whether he will be Chelsea’s first choice striker this summer, hence his bigger price, but if he is then he stands a great chance of making an impact on the Premier League Golden Boot race. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kyogo Furuhashi (Birmingham City) – 16\/1<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Furuhashi joined the Blues this summer following a brief spell at Rennes. His most impressive seasons came at Celtic though, where he scored 63 goals in 116 games. He’ll be hoping to replicate that form at Birmingham and, with the Blues expected to be pushing for promotion this season, he could be a very tasty price at 16\/1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dom Dwyer (Mansfield) – 40\/1<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Dwyer joined Mansfield at the back end of last season, signing a short term deal and scoring four goals in nine games. He’s scored goals wherever he’s been but if he can continue that form into the new season he could be a great outside bet for the League One top scorer market. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joe Hugill (Barnet) – 80\/1<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Our biggest priced striker is also our wildest shout. Hugill joins the Bees on loan from Man Utd and will be hoping to find his feet quickly in a league he’s familiar with. Barnet aren’t one of the favourites for promotion but, as Michael Cheek demonstrated last season, a good striker can score goals even for a promoted team.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
