Saints looked on course to becoming the worst team in Premier League history until late in the campaign. The Welsh side have now experienced back-to-back-to-back promotions. It&#8217;s lifted them from the Nations League to the Championship in just three seasons. This is Wrexham&#8217;s first season in the second tier of English football in 43 years &#8212; a four-season stay in the Second Division. And then they didn&#8217;t finish in the top half once. This is a new Wrexham, though, with financial backing and the football script-writers on their side.
