They booked their spot in the semi-finals thanks to a 2-1 win over Al Hilal, thanks to goals from Matheus Martinelli and Hercules.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class='vccm vccm-compare'data-compare=\"GGOPz4iP7lM6zo7VSuozR\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chelsea are looking to become the first English club to win the Club World Cup more than once, in their third appearance in the tournament. The Blues were expected to win their group but had to settle for second, after a defeat to Flamengo. But they&#8217;ve certainly benefited from that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maresca&#8217;s side faced the shock Group C winners Benfica in the last 16, beating the Portuguese side 4-1 after extra time. There was a bit of drama in that game, with Chelsea conceding a late penalty after a long enforced break due to severe weather. Chelsea then beat Palmeiras 2-1 in the quarter-finals, a repeat fixture and result of the 2021 Club World Cup Final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-fluminense-team-news\">Fluminense team news<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Juan Pablo Freytes and Martinelli are both suspended for this game for yellow card accumulation.
