England Women<\/a> take on the Netherlands Women<\/a> in their second Women’s Euro 2025<\/a> group stage game at Stadion Letzigrund on Wednesday 9th July at 5pm (UK time). This is a battle between the last two European champions, with England looking to defend their crown. The game will be broadcast live in the UK on BBC One.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

England will be looking to bounce back after their rather embarrassing 2-1 defeat to France in their Euros opener on Saturday. Sarina Wiegman\u2019s team have now won only one of their last four competitive matches, suffering three defeats in that period. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The defeat to France was the first time that England had lost back-to-back games for the first time since 2019. They conceded two or more goals for the third time in four matches, and after those defensive frailties showed, I think there’s plenty of reason to believe that the Netherlands can get on the scoresheet. Netherlands have scored first in each of their past three games against England across all competitions. The Oranje Leeuwinnen put in a strong showing against Wales last weekend, with a 3-0 victory in a game where Miedema opened the scoring just before half-time. The 28-year-old has now scored 54 goals in 65 appearances for her national side and after finding the net in her last two, I can’t resist having a little poke on her to open the scoring at a juicy 8\/1. <\/p>\n\n\n
