Arsenal<\/a> take on holders Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League<\/a> final in Budapest on Saturday 30th May at 5pm (UK time) looking to create history. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Off the back of ending their 22-year wait for the Premier League title, the Gunners are looking to win the famous trophy for the very first time in the Hungarian capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mikel Arteta’s side narrowly defeated Atletico Madrid to earn a place in the showpiece but will have their work cut out against Luis Enrique’s all-conquering side, who defeated them in last year’s semi-final on their way to their own maiden success in the club’s game premier competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Arsenal (4-3-3):<\/strong> Raya; Mosquera, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori; Lewis-Skelly, Rice, Odegaard; Saka, Havertz, Trossard<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As mentioned, Arsenal fell at the semi-final stage last season to the French giants, tasting defeat in both legs. The losses were their first to PSG, having won two and drawn three of the prior five meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the Gunners’ second European Cup\/Champions League final after the heartache of 2006, which coincidentally took place in Paris. Jens Lehmann was sent off early on but Arsene Wenger’s side led until the 76th minute against Barcelona. Sol Campbell’s goal was cancelled out by Samuel Eto’o before Juliano Belletti sealed the win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PSG are looking to become just the second side in the Champions League era (post-1992) to retain the trophy, having demolished Inter 5-0 – a record final margin – last year in Munich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arsenal team news vs PSG<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Arteta has several selection dilemmas ahead of the final, most notably in his front four. Bukayo Saka and captain Martin Odegaard are guaranteed to start but elsewhere places are up for grabs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kai Havertz has been trusted in the biggest games over the years – and has scored a winner in a Champions League final – and may get the nod over Viktor Gyokeres. Leandro Trossard is favourite to start over Eberechi Eze and Gabriel Martinelli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myles Lewis-Skelly has supplanted Martin Zubimendi in the final weeks of the season, starring in the second leg of the semi-final over Atletico, and the 19-year-old should start here alongside Declan Rice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jurrien Timber may return to the squad after a 10-week layoff with a groin injury but is very unlikely to start. With Ben White also out, Cristhian Mosquera is set to slot in at right-back.<\/p>\n\n\n
