Kompany\u2019s side finished 12th in the group stage with five wins and three defeats, so had to go through the knockout phase play-offs. There Bayern were drawn against Celtic and needed a late equaliser in the second leg to avoid extra-time, taking the tie 3-2 on aggregate. Things were a bit more straightforward in the last 16 though, as Bayern beat German rivals Bayer Leverkusen 5-0 across the two legs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This game sees a repeat of the 2010 final, when Inter last lifted the trophy. The Italians have been tough to beat in the Champions League this season, finishing fourth in the group with six wins, one draw and one defeat. They boasted the toughest defence in the group, conceding just one goal. They conceded one goal in the last 16 too, but that came with a 4-1 aggregate victory over Feyenoord. They now hold the upper hand after their 2-1 win in Germany, and with an impressive defensive European record, they will be confident of seeing the job through.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Inter hold a six point lead at the top of Serie A, although their closest rivals Napoli have a game in hand. The side have picked up four wins from their last five games, with a draw against Parma being the only thing keeping them from holding a perfect record coming into this game.<\/p>\n<h3><b>Inter Milan team news<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After missing the first leg, Denzel Dumfries could be back for Inter by the time this game comes around, but Stefan de Vrij remains a doubt.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Bayern Munich team news<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bayern should have Manuel Neuer back in time for this game, after Jonas Urbig played in goal in the 2-1 defeat against Inter a few days ago. Alphonso Davies is out for the season with an ACL injury, while Dayot Upamecano is also sidelined until the summer.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Bayern Munich vs Inter Milan head-to-head<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This will be the 11th meeting between these two sides, with Bayern and Inter most recently facing off in the 2022-23 Champions League group stage prior to this quarter-final.
