Before this, they had gone five games without a win (one draw and four losses), but they did achieve two wins in their previous four matches, including their only home victory this season: a 2-0 triumph over Chelsea. The Tractor Boys will, at least, take some confidence in holding onto a 1-1 draw away at Aston Villa last time out, despite Axel Tuanzebe being sent off just before half-time.<\/p>\n<p>Ipswich&#8217;s other wins came on the road against Wolves and Tottenham, the latter of which is having a challenging second season under Ange Postecoglou&#8217;s management. Spurs currently sit in 12th place, though back-to-back wins against Brentford and Man Utd have lifted them 13 points clear of the relegation zone. Before those victories, the Lilywhites endured a four-game losing streak that was part of a broader seven-game winless run (six losses and one draw). Remarkably, only Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal, have scored more goals than Tottenham this season, while Spurs have the league&#8217;s 12th-best defensive record. That defensive record has been boosted by keeping clean sheets in each of those wins against Brentford and Man Utd, which is the first time they&#8217;ve kept back-to-back league shutouts this season. However, they have struggled to maintain leads; three of their last four defeats came after they had gone in front. In fact, no team has dropped more points from winning positions than Spurs this season, with 21 points lost\u2014one more than last-placed Southampton.<\/p>\n<h3>Ipswich team news<\/h3>\n<p>Wes Burns and Chiedozie Ogbene will both be unavailable until next season. Burns is expected to return in January 2026 after recently undergoing surgery to repair his ACL. Christian Walton is also out for the long term, and Conor Chaplin will miss this game as well. However, Samuel Szmodics should be available after recovering from his ankle injury. Axel Tuanzebe is suspended.<\/p>\n<h3>Tottenham team news<\/h3>\n<p>Tottenham have several key players unavailable due to injuries. Radu Dragusin is ruled out until December 2025 because of a knee injury. Dominic Solanke, Timo Werner, Cristian Romero, and Brennan Johnson may return for the upcoming match. James Maddison and Destiny Udogie are expected to be available.
