Brighton, meanwhile, sit 10th and are now nine points behind Chelsea. But they’ll be buoyed by their win in the FA Cup at the weekend. Over 2.5 Goals & Both Teams to Score (3\/4 with BetMGM<\/a>)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Having failed to score in five of their first eight Premier League meetings with Chelsea, Brighton have now scored in each of their last seven against them. However, they\u2019ve only kept one clean sheet in their 15 games against the Blues in the competition. There have been at least three goals, with both teams scoring, in each of the last four meetings between the pair and a repeat looks likely on Friday night.<\/span><\/p>\n

Joel Veltman to be Carded (7\/2 with BetMGM<\/a>)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Joel Veltman has been booked in four of his 18 league appearances this season. Last week, the right-back was also carded in the FA Cup clash between Chelsea and Brighton. That now makes it three cards in eight meetings with the Blues and with an average of 1.5 fouls per 90 minutes since the start of the campaign, he looks like a solid proposition for another card to kick off our punting weekend.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Brighton have certainly had an interesting season under Fabian Hurzeler so far. The Seagulls have won eight of their 24 league games this season, and have lost just six. Only the top four have fewer defeats than Brighton. But they are nine points outside the top four, thanks largely to their 10 draws. The Seagulls have also lost their past two league games, including that<\/em> 7-0 thrashing at the hands of Nottingham Forest<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Chelsea had a good weekend in the Premier League last time out, with all their top four rivals dropping points. It meant that a 2-1 home win over West Ham United<\/a> saw the Blues return to fourth spot. But there will still be sour notes in mouths of Chelsea fans, given where they were a few months ago. Although Chelsea have won two of their past three league games, that came at the end of a five-match winless run. Two wins from eight in the league, and both at home.<\/p>\n

Brighton team news<\/h3>\n

Pervis Estupinan and Mats Wieffer will be hoping to return for this game, but they will face a race against time. Lewis Dunk picked up an injury in the FA Cup win but may be back in time. Solly March, Ferdi Kadioglu and James Milner are all out for a while longer. Igor Julio is a long-term absentee.<\/p>\n

Chelsea team news<\/h3>\n

Wesley Fofana and Romeo Lavia remain out for a few months, while this game will also be too soon for Benoit Badiashile. Nicolas Jackson could return, while Marc Guiu is also a doubt.<\/p>\n
